A legacy computer system related to the Cross City Tunnel was the subject of a cyber incident in June 2023. The organisation responsible for the incident has subsequently published data extracted from that system on the dark web.
The affected legacy system has not been used for operations for a number of years. The accessed data about former 'Beep' customers includes historical personal information which may include historical payment details that are more than a decade old.
Given the age of this data, it will be out of date in many cases.
Please note that the Cross City Tunnel continues to operate as normal. Transurban's business operations, including systems and processes, are unaffected by this incident.
